Night sky enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds are invited to come enjoy this year’s festivities and marvel at the wonders of the universe. \nOur Friday night highlight will be an informal astronomy night\, and we hope you will bring your telescope\, binoculars\, star chart\, or simple appreciation for darkness\, as we gather to spend some time staring at the stars. Saturday will feature informational talks and displays\, hands-on activities\, art projects\, trivia\, and a star party led by amateur astronomers who will help participants peer into distant galaxies\, observe planets\, and learn more about the importance of dark skies. This year we are looking forward to some extra-special activities and partnerships with the Astronomical Society of Nevada\, the Northern Nevada Astronomy Group\, the Star Chaserz\, and local Cedarville author Sophie Sheppard through Nevada Humanities. \nThis is an all ages\, family-friendly event\, and it is free to the public!
