Our Observatories

We offer both live and virtual events through our website. Live events will include scheduled star parties and public events and will be listed on our website.

Virtual events will include live video broadcasts through telescopes in remote mobile and stationary observatories located in dark sky areas of Northern California.

Shown here is our original Mobile Observatory as featured in Sky and Telescope. The 2004 GMC Envoy XUV comes with a separate cargo bay and a fully-retractable roof.  It has been customized with three heavy jacks for stabilizing and leveling and houses a computerized 14” Meade 200X SCT GPS telescope reconfigured with a Starizona HyperStar F/2 reducing lens. The scope is coupled with a quality video astrocamera, whoes images are viewed on a large flatscreen monitor on the side of the vehicle, or are uploaded to our website to be to be streamed over the internet.
